So... I wrote a book.
That sentence still feels strange to say. Growing up, I never imagined it. My English teacher would be in shock. But over time, this itch kept growing—an urge to pull together the threads of all the mentoring, supervision, and life lessons I’ve collected from working with dads, children, and families over nearly three decades.
I wanted to write something that felt like me. Something that reflected the values I try to live by—and the conversations I keep having with dads who are trying to break the cycle, show up differently, and raise kids in a home full of love, not fear.
So here it is:
Be A Super Dad: Reflective Advice for Fatherhood.
I wrote it for the curious dads. Who are willing to take a second look at the blueprint they inherited? Who wants to parent in technicolour rather than black and white? Who wonders whether the rules they were taught—about discipline, emotions, roles, and responsibility—are still serving them. Or their children.
It’s not a book full of instructions. It’s a space for reflection.
I’ve had the privilege of being supervised by some brilliant minds—psychologists, psychotherapists, and mentors who helped me unpack my own parenting patterns. I’ve poured that same reflective process into this book, so you can ask yourself the kind of questions that lead to change. The kind that builds emotional safety, strong relationships, better futures and be the dad your kids deserve.
And if you’re a mum reading this with curiosity, this book might speak to you too. It’s really about becoming more conscious of how we show up for our kids, no matter what role we’re in.
If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to buy Gareth a coffee,” this is your chance—and it might even be cheaper than a latte.
But more than that, your support helps the mysterious Amazon Algorithm Gods notice the book. Every download, every review, every share sends a signal that this is something that might help another parent. Another dad. Another family.
